Google provides a number of products to help you manage your learning resources. They include tools for:
1. Automatically notifying you when your learning resources are updated e.g. new information added to a blog. - iGoogle
2. Sending you an email - an alert - when information is added to the web for topics that you nominate. - Google Alerts

iGoogle is a customisable homepage that starts automatically (Start Page) when you activate your browser. iGoogle lets you create a personalised homepage that contains a Google search box at the top, and your choice of any number of gadgets that provide updates to information from all across the web.
On your Google homepage, click the gear icon and select iGoogle. If this is your first time using iGoogle, you'll see the setup wizard called "Create your own homepage in under 30 seconds." Choose some interests, a theme, and a location to get started (you can add more later). Click See your page to create your iGoogle homepage.
Use the gear icon to switch between your new iGoogle page and the standard Google homepage called "Classic Home."

Google Alerts are emails sent to you when Google finds new results -- such as web pages, newspaper articles, or blogs -- that match learning topics that you specify.
You can use Google Alerts to monitor, for your learning topics, new information or changes to existing information.
